What Is the Cause Of Low Blood Pressure?

Low blood pressure or hypotension is a condition where the blood pressure is too low. It may be caused by dehydration, stress, anxiety, or even anemia.

Causes of low blood pressure include dehydration, stress, anxiety and anemia.

    Know the Causes of Hypotension

Dehydration is one of the main reasons why people develop low blood pressure. This happens when there is not enough water in the body. If you are dehydrated, then your kidneys will try to conserve water by reducing the amount of urine produced. As a result, less fluid is lost through urination.

    Understand the Symptoms of Hypotension

There are several symptoms of hypotension. These include dizziness, headache, nausea, weakness, fatigue, confusion, fainting, and blurred vision. People with low blood pressure often feel lightheaded or faint. They also may feel weak and tired.

The most common cause of low blood pressure is dehydration

Dehydration occurs when there isn’t enough water in the body. This happens when people drink less than what they need. If you aren’t drinking enough fluids, your blood volume decreases. As a result, your blood pressure drops.

Dehydration causes the body to retain water which lowers the blood volume.

Stress, anxiety, and other emotional issues can also cause low blood pressure. These feelings can lead to a drop in blood pressure because the brain sends signals to the kidneys to release more fluid into the bloodstream.

This leads to lower blood pressure

If you feel anxious or stressed out, try taking deep breaths and relaxing. You might also consider talking with a doctor about any underlying medical conditions that could be causing your symptoms.
