Pulsed Dye Laser Applications
Pulse Dye Laser (PDL) is the first laser developed for the treatment of vascular problems. The Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) beam passes through the top of the skin and targets the fine red blood vessels in the dermal layer. It does its effect by producing a concentrated yellow light that targets blood vessels in the skin. While this yellow light selectively heats and destroys the blood vessels in the skin, it allows the treatment to be terminated without causing damage to the surrounding tissue.
The most common area of use is Port Wine stain and hemangiomas, it is also successfully used in acne rosacea, facial telangiectasias, spider angiomas, cherry angiomas, venous ponds, leg telangiectasias, rashes on the neck and décolleté area.
Apart from the treatment of vascular problems in the skin, it is also used in many skin diseases an offered as a treatment option today.
